I have a feeling that I should be thrilled... though I can´t fully comprehend what the second UV channel does. And does semi transpareny mean that you can do realistic glass now? So why only for furnitures? Would you consider explaining that a little more explictit? Forgive my ignorance... Tongue

The second channel for self illumination map allows you to use the lightmap UV mapping channel (2nd channel) for nightlights. Because in this channel every part of the object has it's own space in the texture map, you can bake realistic lights into the texture using 3ds max and/or have non tiled pattern light textures for windows and such.

Yes, now you can make semi transparent objects, like glass. It didn't worked very will when it was tested in the building shader, Altiris fund the way to make it work in the furniture shader. Anyway, I think is better to keep it that way. The transparency takes more processing power, so it's not a good idea to start to make glass wall towers, in addition the game has some issues rendering some objects behind the glass objects. Let's keep the transparency for buildings details like canopys, railings, roofs or things like that.

I'm not yet 100% sure of what this will allow me to do better, but I'm sure that once I find out I'll be thrilled! So thanks Tongue
Better self illumination maps and semi transparent materials sound great Smile

nice job guys!

I'm working on some furnitures and this shader will come very handy. I also look forward to working with some transparencies and making some nice, non tilled self illumination maps Smile
